The Face Center of Excellence (FaCE)

Founded in 2015, the Face Center of Excellence (FaCE) launched its flagship Facial Identification Training (F.I.T. 202) course. Since then, FaCE has grown into a global leader in Facial Identification by expanding its offerings to include additional training courses, Expert Witness consulting and testimony, On Demand facial comparison services, and accredited Facial Identification proficiency testing.
To date, we’ve trained professionals in over 19 countries and 20 U.S. states. Our expert team has provided support on more than 37 cases through our expert witness and on-demand comparison services. Notably, FaCE delivered the first accredited proficiency test in the Facial Identification discipline—demonstrating our commitment to excellence and innovation.
FaCE is powered by a dynamic team of subject matter experts with over 40 years of combined experience in facial comparisons. We are passionate about advancing the Facial Identification (FI) discipline and providing the highest quality services to our clients.

Meet The Team
Lora Sims
Director
Lora is the Director of the Face Center of Excellence. She can also be found teaching one of our courses, working in the Expert Witness Consulting Services, managing the On Demand Services, and working with our partner on the Facial Identification Proficiency Test.
Chelcey Tyre
Manager
Chelcey is the Manager of the FaCE Training. When she isn’t creating new courses, updating current courses, or juggling the training schedule, she supports the Expert Witness Consulting Services and the On Demand Services.
Raman Sandhu-Kirmer
Trainer
Raman is the newest member of the FaCE having joined the team in 2024. She brings to the team a wealth of knowledge of forensics and is looking forward to teaching more in the future.
Dr. Rebecca Perlman
Case Manager
Becky serves as the Case Manager for the Expert Witness Consulting Services. In this vital role, she serves as the interface between the client and the FaCE Team. From extraneous and potentially biasing information when speaking with our clients.
