What You’ll Learn

F.I.T. 301 is a 16-hour course that offers a focused refresher for facial comparison professionals. Participants will receive updates on current standards and guidelines, a review of facial morphology and feature stability, and an overview of comparison methodologies. The course also emphasizes proper documentation practices, with a particular focus on adult-to-adult comparisons.

With a small class size (12:1 student-to-instructor ratio), students will have dedicated time to complete comparisons using known datasets. Each session includes class-wide reviews and personalized instructor feedback to support continued skill development and meet ongoing training requirements.

The course is delivered over four consecutive days, with 4 hours of instruction per day, and is available both virtually and in person

Event Details

All online courses require the following:

A work-provided computer or a personal computer
A high-speed Internet Service Provider
A speaker (or headset) and microphone
A camera (or webcam) (recommended).

Things to know about the class:

Day 1 focuses on the lecture.
Days 2-4 focus on practical exercises with feedback from the instructor.
Class participation (through microphone or chat) is encouraged in discussions surrounding the lecture and practical exercises.
Breaks are given throughout the class.

Platform: Microsoft Teams (can be used in a web browser or downloaded/installed on your computer https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads)

Software: An answer sheet formatted in Microsoft Excel (can be uploaded into Google Sheets) and a pdf copy of the presentation
